The Ministry of Monday
Monday comes around every week, right on time. And with it can come a quiet weariness, the feeling of starting over, of facing the same routines again. The mundane can feel heavy if we let it.
But Scripture reminds us: we are not those who shrink back, but those who have faith. Sometimes shrinking back doesn’t look like walking away from God—it looks like holding back in the small, ordinary moments. It’s choosing comfort over trust, routine over relationship.
Jesus warned us that life would be hard, that pressure would come—but He also encouraged us so that we would not stumble or fall away. Even in the repetition of daily life, we are invited to stand firm.
So, what if Monday isn’t something to endure, but something to enter with purpose?
What if prayer becomes your ministry in the middle of the mundane?
Today, instead of shrinking back, lean in. Ask the Lord, “Where am I holding back?” And in those places, choose faith. Choose to seek Him, serve Him, and walk with Him—right in the middle of the ordinary.
Because even Mondays can be holy when they’re surrendered.
Prayer:
Lord, show me where I am drawing back. Teach me to live by faith in ordinary moments. Let my Monday be filled with Your presence and help me stand firm in You. Amen.
